Three Things

1.       I ran 20 minutes yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks.  It felt FANTASTIC.   And my foot seemed to hold up pretty good.  I walked for 1 mile then stretched and then headed out running.  I am taking it really easy and slow so I opted to run 4 minutes and walk 1 minute.  I am so glad that the run felt great, I knew it would.  Man how I have missed running.  And it is good to be back.  I have a long way to go but I am up for the Challenge.

2.     Mr. Incredible left today to meet our Firstborn, who turned 21, in Las Vegas.  What a great father/son trip.  He will be home Sunday.  HMMM what is a girl to do!  Well I think a GNO is definitely in order.   I also plan on finishing the book I started reading, Born to Run, while he is gone.

Have you read Born to Run?

3.     I have entered a 90 day Weight Loss Challenge.  If you have been reading my blog you know I have huge issues with accountability.  I entered the Challenge to hold myself accountable.  Mr. Incredible entered the Challenge also, so I think we are on the right track. I have tried every diet out there from WW, Adkins, and South Beach to popping pills to control my appetite.  This Challenge I read about from a fellow blogger, GISrunner.  She has had great success, and I am up for the Challenge to drop these 20 pounds that won’t seem to budge.  I will keep you all posted.

What helps you stick to a diet program?

If your going to Run, Run Half Crazy!

Gosh, it feels so good to run even after a couple of days rest. I can't even imagine waiting 6 weeks! Must be heavenly....enjoy!!

Welcome back to running! 6 weeks off is too long. Thanks for your advice on my blog!

My dad took me, then my sister, when we each turned 21 to Reno. I have fond memories of my trip, alone with my dad in a place he really loved.

I don't diet and don't really have to, but I did give up chocolate for lent. It was easy, and not because I don't eat a lot of chocolate, because I had decided it was the right thing to do...

I start my last 4 weeks of training for my marathon, and I know if i want a good time I have to do more than just run... so I have and end goal. My plan is to take it one day at a time.

So with your diet don't say I need to stick to this for 3 months / the summer, aim at being on diet for one day, and that is easy... The thing is you need to make that choice every morning.

Good luck

Here is another idea: post a picture of yourself every week and each week take of an artical of clothing... by the time you are in your BIKINI you had better have lost weight or....
