Happy Friday

Happy Friday to all my fellow Runner Friends!!!

Today was the day I needed to run my speed test for my Running Coach to set paces for my training.  I have to brag on myself if you all don't mind.  I had to do a 1 mile warm-up, 2 mile speed test and 1 mile cool down.  Weather was 32 degree with little wind, also had to watch for ice.  I was chilly but it had to be done today...

Did my 1 mile warm up and I was ready to go.  I just started running, I did map out 2 miles so I would not look at the Garmin.  I felt great, but I did have to talk to myself a little.  When I saw the end I picked up the pace.  Yea finished, now to look at the Garmin.  WOW 18:43.... I did not know I could do that.  I think that's a PR... I finished with my 1 mile cool down with a smile on my face.

I don't know about you, but I always look at my Garmin and try to maintain the pace I want to run my Half in, doesn't matter the distance.  Guess I should quit looking at the darn thing and just run.  I have a lot to learn about pacing...

Have a Fabulous Weekend Runners.  I am off to a GREAT start!

Do you run with a Garmin or other training device?

How do you train with your device?

I use to use a nike foot pod that went to the nano ipod. I just got a Garmin. Haven't be able to use it yet, because of all the snow and cold. Hoping to get out tomorrow. The temps are suppose to be in the 30's. I sure hope the Garmin is easy to use. Have a good weekend.

Howdy, thanks for your comment on my Blog. And your great fashion tip. I'll look for a nice running skirt at the Expo tomorrow :-)

Great job!! I have a Garmin, and compulsively check it... Hard to believe I never ran with it, and now I can't imagine running without one!

Hi Kittee!! I LOVE my Garmin and feel naked without it--so nice to know your real pace and how it corresponds to your "feel"!
